Making yoga products with sustainable materials is our first priority. Lucky for us, natural rubber is essentially the most sustainable and best-performing material for yoga mats. We are committed to giving back to the Earth with each and every product sold and we need to leave the Earth a greater place than once we found it. As Jade Yoga mats come from trees, we determined to present back by planting a tree for each and every mat sold. Since 2006, through our partnership with Trees for the Future, we have now done just that, planting over a million trees to this point!

As well as, all of our mats are made right here in america! “American-made” still means so much to us, and we take pride in being a US-based company. “American-made” also means quality and assurance, giving us a lot more regulate over the materials used in our products and the production process from begin to finish.

The Harmony Mat

Jade|Yoga first launched its brand of yoga mats in 2002, but its true beginnings grew from Jade Industries, Inc., an organization selling non-slip rubber rug and carpet mats within the 1970s. With some yogis already the use of the rug pads as yoga mats, it only made sense for Jade Industries, Inc. to branch off and begin focusing on yoga products.

Following a demonstration from the great B.K.S Iyengar, the issue with most yoga mats became painfully obvious: they were slippery. Not only did it make practicing yoga annoying, but it surely put the user vulnerable to injury. Sticking with the parent company’s core values of the use of natural, high-quality materials, Jade|Yoga started working fervently in 2000 to address this problem. After some initial testing and sampling, the overwhelming response they received ensured Jade|Yoga was once on a route to success.

From their tireless efforts, the Jade|Yoga “Harmony” line was once born, comfortable, non-slip, and all-natural. That is Jade Yoga’s mantra, helping yogis find peace with their inner nature, through nature.
